It’s Art Because I Said It Is Zine

Illustrations styled to look like brown and coloured ripped paper are layered in two sections. The top section reads “IT’S ART”. The bottom section reads “because i said it is”. There is a black, yellow, and pink arrow pointing from the bottom section to the top. Underneath this is a pink brush line and the text “an omniarts gb zine”. There are black hand drawn corner frames in the top right and bottom left, stars in the top left and a heart shape bottom right. The background is stylised as off-white parchment paper.“It’s Art Because I Said It Is” is a zine curated by OmniArts GB.

Our aim with this zine is to break down barriers to making art, and encourage everyone to embrace the creativity within them. Anyone can submit their work to be included in the zines. See below for rules and the current theme.

We don’t have a specific regular schedule for when we publish our zines, so if you want to be in the know for when we announce a new theme, follow us on Instagram!

Previous Issues

The front cover of issue 1 of an 18+ zine titled "it's art because i said it is" dated Autumn 2025. It was originally dated Autumn 2024, but the 4 is crossed through and a 5 written in next to it. The background is stylised as off-white parchment paper. This issue's theme is "outside the box". There are illustrations of cats in boxes around the theme name which has a roughly drawn double lined orange oval around it. The zine name is on illustrations styled to look like brown and coloured ripped paper, which are layered in two sections. The top section reads “IT’S ART” in capital letters. The bottom section reads “because i said it is” in lowercase letters. There is a black, yellow, and pink arrow pointing from the bottom section to the top. At the bottom of the page is the text “an omniarts gb zine”. There are black hand drawn style corner frames in the top right and bottom left, stars in the top left and a heart shape bottom right.
